Hovelsrud, James W. "Jim" Age 93, of Plymouth, MN passed away peacefully on November 18th, 2020. He was a graduate from South High School and then joined the Navy. After his service, he attended Minneapolis Business College and the University of Minnesota. He then went on to work for General Foods, now known as Kraft Heinz, for 40 years. He was a charter member of Saint Alphonsus Church. Growing up he enjoyed spending days on Lake Minnetonka with his parents, Oscar and Bertha, and brothers, Stu and Dick. He later enjoyed spending summers at the lake vacationing with his family on Trout Lake and then at their lake home on Spirit Lake. After retirement at 62, he enjoyed spending his winters in Tucson, Arizona and then at their condo in Largo, Florida. He was known as a loving husband to his wife Pat of 71 years, father, and grandfather. He is survived by his wife, Pat Hovelsrud; children, James Hovelsrud, Kerry Hovelsrud, Jeff (Mona) Hovelsrud, John (Liz) Hovelsrud, Tim Hovelsrud, Mary Pat (Greg) Harald; grandchildren, Joey and Danny Hovelsrud, Anne Marie, Tommy and Ryan Harald, and Reese Hovelsrud; sisters-in-law, Dolores and Shirley Hovelsrud; brothers-in-law, Jim (Betty) Kane and Owen (Donna) Kane; and many nieces and nephews.
