Kip Charles Benson

Benson, Kip Charles 65, passed away peacefully on Friday July 24, 2020, at home with his loving family at his side after a spirited fight with cancer. He was born June 23, 1955, in Omaha, Nebraska, the son of Phyllis Moberly and Gerald Benson. He married Lori Catton on May 29, 1993, and had one daughter, Megan. Kip was a dedicated husband and father. He was considered a best friend by many and brought family and friends lots of laughter. He was an avid golfer, a craftsman around the house, and loved to cook. We will forever admire his artistry through all the work he did in commercial and residential construction. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Richard and Mildred Moberly, Harold and Clara Benson; mother-in-law, Carol Catton; brother-in-law, Mike Catton. He is survived by his wife, Lori; his daughter, Megan; his parents, Phyllis and Gerald; his brother, Kurt (Ann) and their daughters, Brianna (Andrew, daughter, Macie) and Leah; father-in-law, Darrell Catton; sisters-in-law, Kelley (Pat), Julie, Kara, Beckie; and many nieces and nephews. Kip will live on in the hearts and memories of those who loved him. We love you forever. A private family memorial service will be held. We wish to thank Kip's doctors, healthcare team, and special caregivers. All memorials in Kip's name preferred to Minnesota Oncology or Heartland Hospice Care.
