Person, Gerald Curtis "Jerry" 72, of Danbury, Wisconsin died April 14, 2020 surrounded by his family in his hometown of Minneapolis, MN. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Raymond and Evelyn Person, father and mother in-law, Verda Mae and David De St Hubert and brothers-in- law David De St Hubert Jr and John Cookos. Jerry was a dedicated and loving husband of Diane Person, father of Chad Person (Brigid) and Andy Person (Reena) and grandfather of JW, Macklin, Ireland, Maxwell and Kaveri. He is also survived by his sister Arliss Cookos and by brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. Jerry's great joy was creating lasting relationships in all areas of his life. Through his work at Medtronic, where he spent 30 years, he met wonderful people all over the world and made a lifetime of friendships. In retirement, he enjoyed time making new friends in Florida and spending time with old, dear friends at his beloved Loon Lake. He lived a life full of humor, art, books, cars/trucks, coffee and too many golf clubs to count. His passion for his hobbies was infectious and his art and especially his jokes brought joy to all around him. His greatest passion by far is, and always will be, his beloved high school sweetheart (and wife) Diane. She his best friend and the love of his life. They spent their life together seeing the world, supporting each other in every way possible and in building the best family they could. Jerry was immensely proud of both of his sons, Chad and Andy. With Chad he shared his love of skiing, cars and the courage to take on the world. Andy shared Jerry's dry humor and his Type A everything. Together they made the Person family and all were loved, happy and so fortunate to have Jerry on the team. His five grandchildren were the world to him and nothing made him happier than family gatherings where they would all enjoy Loon Lake. In parting, Jerry would want to tell all those who knew him, thank you. Thank you for being loyal friends and filling his life with, LIFE. He lived a full one and is thankful for all those who were a part of making it so meaningful. As we cannot gather together today, we will have a private family service followed by a celebration of his life when we can. In the meantime, as Jerry lived his life surrounded with his family and loved ones, stay safe in these uncertain times and hold your loved ones close. In lieu of memorials, please donate to a charity of your choice on Jerry's behalf. Washburn-McReavy.com Edina Chapel 952-920-3996
