Beverly Arlene Halverson

Halverson, Beverly Arlene Age 91 of Crystal, MN born on January 5, 1929 in Viking Township, MN and passed away at home, surrounded by family on April 7th, 2020. She married Robert Halverson on May 20th, 1955 and remained with him until his passing in 1988. She was preceded in death by husband Robert, son Gregory, brother Lowell Gustafson and parents Axel and Minnie Gustafson. She is survived by sons Donald (Patty) of Douglasville, GA and Darrel (Jenniefer) of North Charleston, SC; grandchildren Stephanie Dean, Christopher Edwards, Aspen and Cheyenne Degenhardt, and many great grandchildren. Beverly grew up on a farm near Viking during the Great Depression and the Second World War. She worked at Midland Bank in Minneapolis in the early 1950's before meeting Bob and moving to his family farm in Lancaster, MN. In 1954 she found that she had cancer (melanoma) and was treated at the U of Minnesota back when a cancer diagnosis was usually terminal. She became a 66 year cancer survivor. They returned to Minneapolis in 1958 and moved to Crystal in 1963 where they raised their family. Beverly continued to work for Midland/Norwest Bank for a total of 42 years. Interment will be alongside her husband at Riverview Memorial Gardens in Lancaster, MN. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Animal Humane Society of Golden Valley, MN.
