Fran was a life-long resident of Bloomington, graduating from Bloomington High School in 1943. He served stateside in the United States Navy during WWII. In later years he became the head of maintenance at Pax Christi Catholic Community in Eden Prairie. This is where he accepted a donation of a used crib. He wondered, Why can't we accept items people no longer use and give them to those in need? Thus, Bridging was born. Fran started every day with a smile, and ended many days playing cards with family. His passion was to serve those in need, with a special place in his heart for children. Those who had the opportunity to work alongside of him at Bridging over the last 33 years will forever cherish the memories and be inspired to keep his dream alive.
