Braun, Jean Marie Age 58 of Eden Prairie, MN. Jean was born July 4, 1960 in St. Cloud to Tom and Mary Lou Braun. Jean battled a brain tumor for 15 years and died August 6, 2018 at her home in Eden Prairie in the presence of her family members. She was a graduate of St. Cloud State University in marketing. Jean has had various jobs in sales, advertising and most recently worked as an administrative assistant at Evine in Eden Prairie. Jean was an active volunteer for her children's organizations as a Girl Scout leader, officer for the Parent Teacher and Band Parents organizations. She enjoyed reading, traveling, cooking, scrapbooking, and spending time with her family.She will be missed as the "family planner" for both sides of the family. Survivors include husband, Mark Kachelmeier; daughter, Sarah of Shakopee and son, Joseph of Eden Prairie (Duluth); siblings, Virginia (James) Chaffee of Saugus, CA, Stephen (Martha) Braun of Nashville, TN, Bonnie (John) Scheel of Foley, Nancy Braun of Sauk Rapids and Mary Beth Braun of Sartell. Jean was preceded in death by parents, Tom on July 25, 2005 and Mary Lou on June 23, 2018. Jean's family would like to offer their sincere heartfelt thanks to Fairview Hospice for guiding Jean and her family on her final journey and allowing her to be able to stay at home. The family would also like to thank Ruth Weah for caring for Jean the last nine months. Memorials are preferred in lieu flowers to the Humor to Fight the Tumor Foundation. Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, August 11th, 2018, 11AM at Pax Christi Catholic Community, 12100 Pioneer Trail, Eden Prairie. Visitation 2 hours prior to the service all at the church.
