Posingies, Walter Michael "Walt," "Wally" Age 84, of Summerfield, FL; previously of Edina, MN, entered the loving arms of his Savior on May 27. Walter was born in Minneapolis, MN, in 1933. He graduated from Edina-Morningside High School and from Valparaiso University with a BS in Electrical Engineering. He worked for GE in Cincinnati for 5 years, and Honeywell in the Twin Cities for over 30 years, securing several patents related to flight control systems for aircraft. He was also transferred to Germany for 2 years for his career. Walter married Opal Fuller in 1968. They enjoyed many trips and cruises together. The couple lived as snowbirds to Florida for several years after retirement before moving there full-time this past year. This summer would have marked their 50th wedding anniversary, which they planned to celebrate with a trip to Alaska with their daughter and her family. He is preceded in death by his parents, Michael and Lydia Posingies. Walter leaves behind his wife Opal, daughter Linda (Kevin) Kurth of West Bend Wisconsin, brother Arthur of Minneapolis, and grandsons Justin and Caleb, who adored their Opa. Arrangements are on Sunday, June 3, 2018. Gathering is from 2:00 - 3:00 and the Service is at 3:00 p.m. at Beyers Funeral Home, Lady Lake. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the charity of your choice in Walter's name. Arrangements entrusted to Beyers Funeral Home and Crematory, Lady Lake, FL.
