Suby, Terry L. Terry Lane Suby of Minneapolis, MN passed away suddenly on Monday December 4, 2017. He was 66 years of age. A time of remembrance open house will be held from 1-3pm on Saturday January 6th, 2018 at the Edina Chapel of the Washburn-McReavy funeral home at 5000 West 50th Street, Edina, MN 55436. A Memorial Service will be held thereafter from 3-4pm. Terry was born on November 10, 1951 in Forest City, IA to Adell Lavonne (Cookie) Suby and Rose Julia Severson Suby. Terry grew up in Forest City, IA. He attended Waldorf College in Forest City (1969-1971), University of AZ in Phoenix (1971-1972), University of Iowa Ames, graduating with his BA in business and marking (1972-1973). Terry completed his Masters from Drake University in Des Moines IA with majors in finance and marketing (1973-1975). Terry worked as a stockbroker for R G Dickinson & CO., in Des Moines IA (1975-1977). He started his first company Dynavit Minnesota in 1977, a distributor for computerized ergometer equipment used in cardiac testing and rehab programs throughout the mid-west. In 1979 he started Telescan, Inc., partnering with William A. Goldberg and ChrysMarie Suby. In 1981 Terry, along with ChrysMarie Suby, Eunice Lawrenz, Rusty Seltz and William A. Goldberg formed Nursing Management Services, Inc., which later became AcuStaf Development Corporation Inc., to develop an innovative nursing management scheduling and staffing software system. The AcuStaf software evolved into a comprehensive multi-industry workforce management, time and attendance system. Terry was preceded in death by his parents Cookie and Rosie Suby, his maternal grandparents Jacob (Jake) and Ragna Severson, his paternal grandparents Elbin and Beulah (Hoveland) Suby and paternal uncles Arden, and Ron Suby, all of Forest City IA. Terry is survived by his only son Jason W. Suby of Edina, MN; his sister Jan (Randy) Groves of Forest City, IA and their children Jesse (Tiffany) Groves and children of Forest City, IA; Dallas (Ashley) Groves and children of Clear Lake, IA; Joshua (Syreeta) Groves and children of Forest City, IA; and a brother, Jerry Suby of Walford IA, and his children, Cheryl Lynn Chartier of North Liberty, IA; and Gary (Shannon) Suby and children of Cedar Rapids, IA; his paternal uncle Norman Suby, of Clear Lake, IA and aunt Elsie Mae (Leo) Chisholm, of Osage IA and Sondra Oswald, of Johnston, IA; and his former spouse, ChrysMarie Suby of Edina MN.
