Brett Rickaby in "Bereavement" Brett Rickaby is one of us. Born in tiny Shafer, Minn., graduated from Chisago Lakes High School, studied drama at UMD, where he won the theater equivalent of the Heisman Trophy, which meant grad school at NYU. At 46, he's played a heavy, villain or psycho in all kinds of TV shows ("NCIS," "Monk," "24," etc. ) and movies ("The Crazies"). He's now starring in "Bereavement," which received three stars from Star Tribune film critic Colin Covert (read his review). You can read about Rickaby in Sunday's Star Tribune and you can hear him speak -- it's a Q&A -- before screenings of "Bereavement" at 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday at Marcus Oakdale. "Bereavement" is also playing at Carmike Apple Valley, Carmike Mounds View Wynnsong, Marcus Elk River, Marcus Parkwood and Regal Brooklyn Center.
