Man tries to video female student in U bathroom, flees

University of Minnesota police were looking for a man who went into a women's bathroom on campus and tried to shoot a video of a female student.

University of Minnesota police were looking for a man who went into a women's bathroom on campus and tried to shoot a video of a female student.

The incident occurred late Tuesday morning in Peik Hall on Pillsbury Drive SE. just off University Avenue, a university spokeswoman said Friday.

The suspect who targeted the 21-year-old woman remained at large Sunday. He was described as white, about 40 years old, with a larger build, blond hair and a scruffy beard. He was wearing a baseball cap and a greenish-beige jacket. He was carrying a canvas-style messenger bag.

Anyone with information about this person or who knows of other similar incidents is being urged to contact campus police at 612-624-2677.
