Fatal Edina crash believed to be caused by medical incident

A 42-year-old Lester Prairie, Minn., man died Sunday morning on Hwy. 62.

A 42-year-old Lester Prairie, Minn., driver died Sunday morning when he struck a barrier on Hwy. 62 in Edina after suffering an apparent medical incident, the Minnesota State Patrol said.

The man was eastbound in a Honda Civic near Gleason Road when he drifted off the highway and into the median barrier, according to the report. The car came to a stop in the left lane. It had minor damage, and its airbags did not deploy. No other vehicles were involved.
