Q: I have not seen any notices about the return of "The Little Couple" on TLC. Any word on this TV series?

A: It returns Dec. 2. Here's some of what TLC is promising: "This past year has been a roller-coaster ride for Bill and Jen. Jen returns to juggling motherhood and her career as a doctor at Texas Children's Hospital. She continues to be a champion for children's health care, heading out to Washington, D.C., to raise awareness for the Children's Hospital Association's Speak Now for Kids initiative. As a family, they move forward in acclimating Will and Zoey to life in the U.S. by working with the children on their language skills and enrolling them in preschool."

Has 'Last Ship' sailed?

Q: I am a retired military person, and I loved "The Last Ship" with Eric Dane as the captain. Either I missed the last installment, or it was never broadcast. Can you enlighten me?

A: I can tell you that 10 episodes aired in the show's first season, but that it was not a closed-end story. TNT has ordered a second season of 13 episodes, likely for summer 2015.

McGarrett's girlfriend

Q: I've noticed on "Hawaii Five-O" that the lead actor's girlfriend, Catherine, is no longer in the credits, and they haven't referenced her at all. What happened to her?

A: The show said goodbye to Michelle Borth, who played Catherine Rollins, the girlfriend of Steve McGarrett. While there was speculation about tension on the show, she tweeted: "It's time for new beginnings and exploring the next chapter, I'm excited for what the future holds and look forward to spreading my wings!" So, in a fourth-season episode where McGarrett and Rollins went to Afghanistan to help a friend of hers, she decided to stay there because of unfinished business. And, in the fifth season, McGarrett seems to be looking at a possible new romance.

Another day from "24"?

Q: My family really enjoyed the last episode of "24: Live Another Day." Are there any plans in the works for a sequel?

A: There have been reports of talks about another round. A big-screen movie has also been a possibility. But I have not seen anything definite.
