"Arms" now has a man.

Director Ethan McSweeny, whose Guthrie Theater career has included vivid productions of Arthur Miller's "A View from the Bridge," John Guare's "Six Degrees of Separation" and "Romeo and Juliet," will stage Shaw's "Arms and the Man" next year, according to theater officials.

When the Guthrie announced its season, the director for the Shaw play about love and patriotism was yet to be determined. The play runs March 19-May 15, 2011.
