8:40 a.m. update: Crash cleared on 35W

That pesky crash that tangled traffic on southbound 35W at I-694 has finally cleared out, but traffic remains tight from Hwy. 10 past the scene. Ahead, things are creeping along from Hwy. 280 to downtown Minneapolis. That drive will still take 15 minutes.

That pesky crash that tangled traffic on southbound 35W at I-694 has finally cleared out, but traffic remains tight from Hwy. 10 past the scene. Ahead, things are creeping along from Hwy. 280 to downtown Minneapolis. That drive will still take 15 minutes.

On northbound 35W, plan on 15 minutes from Burnsville Pkwy. to the Crosstown. Add another 10 to 12 to get to downtown Minneapolis.

I-694 is a cakewalk for drivers. No delays to speak of in the work zone.

Word just coming in of a pedestrian hit-and-run accident at Elliot Av. and E. 19th Street in Minneapolis. Watch out for commuters on foot.
