Gotta head downstairs for interviews, but just wanted to post really quick that Breck (not surprisingly) defeated New Ulm handily. Final score: 9-0. It was 1-0 after one, but then Breck scored six times in the second period and added three in the third, two by Emily Kleidon.
Big story here was just how dominant Breck was. About the only drama left after two periods was whether or not the Mustangs would break the state tournament record of 54 shots on goal. They could only manage 49. So much for that.
Next up: South St. Paul against Hutchinson.
Stay tuned.
