Friday, Sept. 9: The former "Mary Tyler Moore Show" and "Lou Grant" star gives a solo performance as President Franklin Delano Roosevelt. The 90-minute show, based on the Broadway drama "Sunrise at Campobello" by Dore Schary, travels through much of FDR's familiar history, including his polio, his family and his fraught relationship with wife Eleanor. Asner does not so much attempt a physical imitation as he tries to capture the spirit of Roosevelt.
