Greetings. Kent Youngblood here.

I was at practice Sunday. With a few days before the team's next game, coach Kurt Rambis said he ran a strenuous practice, one that went rather long.

After that practice, point guard Jonny Flynn took another step in his return from hip surgery. The Wolves often have a 3-on-3 game after practice for players who aren't getting a lot of minutes. Sunday Flynn took part in what looked to me like a very intense little scrimmage.

What's the big deal? Well, as Rambis said, you can do drills all you want. But it's the reaction of an intense game that will really tell Flynn how he's doing. Rambis said he and his staff are waiting until Monday to see how Flynn held up.

It's been a long road back for Flynn. When asked, Rambis said there have been times when he's seen Flynn's explosiveness. But there have also been times when Rambis said he's seen Flynn holding back a little.

Also, backup center Nikola Pekovic (sprained ankle) did some drills, but still isn't running well and is still a ways away from returning.

That's about it. Have a good day.
