7 p.m. vs. New Orleans • Target Center • No TV, 830-AM

Preview: The Pelicans' magic number remains two after they lost 121-114 at Houston on Sunday night but Oklahoma City lost at Indiana earlier in the day. They'll clinch the West's eighth and final playoff spot (and a first-round meeting with mighty Golden State) should they beat the Wolves on Monday and Portland wins at Oklahoma City that night. Any combination of Pelicans victories or Thunder losses adding up to two will send New Orleans to the playoffs because it would win a tiebreaker of head-to-head play. … The Pelicans had won six of their past eight games before losing at Houston. They finish the regular season with a Wednesday game at San Antonio. ... The Pelicans are going for the series sweep after they won the first three meetings between the teams: Their 130-91 victory in New Orleans in November is the Wolves' most lopsided loss ever. The Pelicans also won 92-84 at Target Center in January and 110-88 in New Orleans two weeks ago.

Player to watch: Pelicans superstar Anthony Davis has had at least 25 points, 10 rebounds and six blocked shots in a game five times this season. No NBA players had done that more than four times in the past 15 years, not since Alonzo Mourning did it eight times and Shaquille O'Neal four times during the 1999-2000 season. A man who has flirted with a quadruple-double and scored 43 points on 17-for-23 shooting (73.9 percent) in the past five weeks, Davis is on pace to finish with the 12th-highest player efficiency rating (PER) in NBA history, 30.8. Wilt Chamberlain's 31.8 in the 1962-63 season is the all-time best. The top 10 includes such names as Michael Jordan and LeBron James.

Injuries: Wolves F Robbie Hummel (back) is questionable. G Kevin Martin was ill Friday and Saturday but played anyway. G Ricky Rubio (ankle), C Nikola Pekovic (Achilles' tendon), F Kevin Garnett (knee), Anthony Bennett (ankle), Shabazz Muhammad (finger) and G Gary Neal (ankle) are out. The Pelicans report no injuries.
