GAME RECAP

IMPACT PLAYER

C.J. Watson, Brooklyn

Starting guards Joe Johnson and Deron Williams combined to score 36 points, but Watson changed the game when it mattered most, scoring nine consecutive Nets points early in the fourth quarter and distracting J.J. Barea with his physical play.

BY THE NUMBERS

6 Timberwolves free throws attempted, one off their franchise record for fewest in a game set against Portland in 1996 and Phoenix in 2005.

12-2 Second-best start by a Nets coach in franchise history. P.J. Carlesimo's record is second only to Lawrence Frank's 13-0 start in 2004.

20-8 The Nets' lead before game was eight minutes old. They won after leading by as many as 14 points Wednesday, 2 1/2 months after blowing a 22-point, third-quarter lead and losing to the Wolves in Brooklyn on Nov. 5.
