Brett Favre was named the NFC offensive player of the week for the third time this season Tuesday for his performance against the New York Giants in a 44-7 victory on Sunday.
Favre completed 25 of 31 passes for 316 yards and four touchdowns with a 148.7 passer rating.
It's the third time Favre has earned that honor this season, the highest total in his 19-year career. Favre has been named the NFC or AFC offensive player of the week 16 times in his career.
