Cornerback Antoine Winfield, who missed the Vikings' final two games before the bye, was the only player on the Vikings' 53-man roster who wasn't on the field today as the team returned to practice after its week off. The Vikings will play host to Detroit on Sunday.
Winfield has been dealing with a foot injury suffered on Oct. 18 against Baltimore. It's not certain exactly when Winfield will be back but it would not be surprising to see him miss at least one more game.
Also not on the field was wide receiver Vinny Perretta, a member of the Vikings' practice squad. The Vikings frequently make moves with the practice squad. Coach Brad Childress will talk after practice today so we should get an update.
As for tickets for Sunday's game against the Lions, the Vikings have about 1,800 remaining before that game is considered a sell out. There are about 1,300 tickets left for the Nov. 22 game against Seattle at the Metrodome.
