Judd Zulgad has been on the NFL beat since the 2003 season, when he began a (gasp) two-year stint covering the Green Bay Packers for the Star Tribune. Zulgad has covered the Vikings since 2005 and is as shocked as anyone that he is again following the daily exploits of Brett Favre.
Chip Scoggins knew his second season covering the Vikings would be eventful when he saw the news helicopter tracking Brett Favre to Winter Park and a guy dressed in a full parrot costume standing outside.

GREEN BAY -- First off, just got word from Chip that Adrian Peterson is fine and the fact he wasn't at the start of practice at Winter Park meant nothing. We repeat: Adrian Peterson is fine and nothing is wrong.
Now onto some business from Lambeau Field. Packers wide receivers Greg Jennings and Donald Driver both said that Antoine Winfield's absence from Sunday's game won't only impact the Vikings pass defense. Both also point out the Vikings Pro Bowl left cornerback is a standout in run support. (Winfield has been declared out for the game.)
That was obvious last Sunday as the Steelers' Rashard Mendenhall had success running to Winfield's side of the field. "Winfield gives them a little better run support slash everything because he's just a football player in that respect," Jennings said ."But you've got to treat them the same, you've got to treat them all the same."
Said Driver: "With [Winfield] it's a big factor because he's especially big in the run game. He loves to shoot up and hit the running back. He's one of those guys that just loves to make tackles so you have to be willing to watch out for him a lot. I think little [Benny] Sapp, that's why they've got him out there as well. He's a little scrappy kid as well. I think he watches Winfield and imitates him a lot. That's going to be the guy that's going to try to support the run if Winfield doesn't play. They've got some good corners. We're not going to sit here and say their corners are bad. But we've got some good wideouts, too. We know it's going to be a battle and we just have to go out there and execute."
It will be intersting to see what the Vikings do Sunday at left cornerback. Karl Paymah and Sapp both started last Sunday, and rookie Asher Allen also got some time in the nickel, but the Packers aren't likely to force the Vikings into nickel as much. It's possible then that Sapp will start and play more left corner than he did a week ago.
As for Packers injuries, tight end Jermichael Finley (knee) did not take part in practice again today and is listed as doubtful. However, Packers coach Mike McCarthy said it would be a game-day decision whether Finley plays. This is key because remember Finley had a big game against the Vikings last time these teams met.
As for the Packers offensive line, Chad Clifton (ankle) went through all of practice today but many still expect rookie T.J. Lang to start on Sunday. Mark Tauscher (knee), who is back with the Packers, also took part in all of practice and is listed as probable. However, Green Bay's starting right tackle is Allen Barbre and that's expected to remain the case. Expect Scott Wells to start at center for Jason Spitz (back).
