The Vikings have waived tight end Allen Reisner today, a move made to clear roster space for receiver Jerome Simpson. Simpson is coming back from a three-game suspension to begin the season. And the Vikings were allowed an exemption to keep 54 players on their roster from Monday until Thursday afternoon at 3 p.m. The move to let Reisner go gets the roster back to 53.
