Linebacker Erin Henderson did not participate in Wednesday's afternoon's practice at Winter Park, recovering from a minor hamstring injury that he suffered in Monday night's 45-7 loss to Green Bay. The vibe from within the team is that Henderson's injury shouldn't be serious enought to keep him out Sunday against Oakland.

Also missing practice Wednesday were: safety Husain Abdullah, who suffered his second concussion of the season Monday; guard Anthony Herrera, still sidelined by an LCL injury in his left knee; and long snapper Cullen Loeffler, who's dealing with a rotator cuff injury.

Loeffler's injury might be most significant in that the Vikings don't have a back-up at that position on their current roster. Jared Allen would be an emergency long snapper. But if Loeffler's injury puts him in jeopardy of missing Sunday's game, the Vikings will scour the open market for a replacement.

Receiver Michael Jenkins (knee) was a limited participant Wednesday.

Meanwhile, cornerback Benny Sapp practiced with the Vikings on Wednesday, his first work with the team since being traded to Miami in August 2010. Sapp was signed to add depth to the secondary. Antoine Winfield was placed on injured reserve Wednesday after breaking his clavicle at Green Bay.
