Favre dealing with illness

LANDOVER, Md. -- Safe to say it's always something with Brett Favre.
The Vikings quarterback said Wednesday he thought he might be dealing with the flu and evidently it's only gotten worse. Favre will make his 296th consecutive start today against the Redskins, but he will be far less than 100 percent because of an illness that could be a sinus infection.
Update: Favre told ESPN's Ed Werder he believes he has pneumonia and needed a steroid pack and an injection Saturday. Favre missed the first hour of meetings because he was sleeping, according to an item from ESPN's NFC North blogger Kevin Seifert.
Favre, 41, has played through a long list of injuries this season, including a fractured left ankle and heel and most recently pain in his right (throwing) shoulder. Favre, in his 20th and final season, has thrown an NFL-high 17 interceptions and his 69.8 passer rating is the second-worst in the league.
