I'm out at Winter Park, where reporters just talked to one future Hall of Famer about another future Hall of Famer.

Jets running back LaDainian Tomlinson was asked on a conference call about the Jets' reaction to the Vikings trading for Patriots receiver Randy Moss today.

"It's good for us that he's leaving the [AFC East] division, but bad for us that we have to face him this week," Tomlinson said. "So it's kind of a, `Man, we wish this would have happened a week later.' We got to be ready to play. Obviously, we know Moss very well over here. We have to make sure we're ready to play."

Tomlinson was released after last season and has, obviously, experienced a career rebirth with the Jets. Moss got off to a slow start and was traded for a third-round pick, so, like Tomlinson, SuperFreak probably feels he has something to prove.

"Moss is one of the greatest receivers to ever play the game," Tomlinson said. "Any time a guy like that is up against a challenge, you expect him to come out with his hat on fire. I'm sure he will. He's up to this challenge, and people are doubting him. I'm sure he's going to come out swinging."

Over on the Access Vikings blog, Chip has more of what LT said about his decision to pick the Jets over the Vikings this past offseason.
