NEW ORLEANS -- We just arrived at the Superdome and are in the new press box high atop the stadium. I'm not usually bothered by being high up in a press box but this is one of those deals where when you look straight up your hands start to sweat.

But enough about my issues.

If you didn't see it in Wednesday's collection of blogs, Vikings running back Adrian Peterson told national talk-show host Dan Patrick that he is a better back than Tennessee's Chris Johnson. This goes back to comments Johnson made to The Sporting News in July about being the best running back in the NFL.

Well, Johnson has responded again and not surprisingly he disagrees with Peterson.

Johnson told Jim Wyatt of The Tennessean that he doesn't compare himself to Peterson. "I don't," Johnson said. "I am the best back in the league. He is not. I don't think it is close. I feel like I am above all the other running backs in the league. I feel like I am above him."

Peterson told Patrick that Johnson isn't stronger or faster than him. Peterson said he is a fan of the Titans star and Johnson said the same of Peterson.

Johnson acknowledged that Peterson is bigger than him -- that's pretty obvious since Peterson is 6-foot-1 and Johnson is 5-11 -- but then added "I wouldn't say he's stronger and faster." "I feel like he is a good back, and any time he plays he is a player I like to watch play and things like that," Johnson said. "But when it's competing against him as a player, I don't think there is a back ahead of me." We'll be back 90 minutes before the game with inactives and other updates.
