Vikings left guard Charlie Johnson and safety Robert Blanton will receive MRIs after suffering injuries in the 30-24 overtime victory over the Jets on Sunday.

Johnson wore a walking boot on his right ankle and left the locker room in crutches. He said X-rays showed there weren't any broken bones in his ankle after running back Matt Asiata rolled on top of him in the third quarter.

Johnson was carted into the locker room after suffering the injury, walking off the field with assistance and a noticeable limp.

"I kind of felt a little grind in my shin, and I had never felt that before; that was what was scary about it," Johnson said of the injury. "I looked up and everything was pointing the right way, so I'm like, 'Oh, I'm all right.' Just as long as nothing was tilted the wrong way, I was fine."

Vladimir Ducasse, who spent his first four seasons with the Jets before signing with the Vikings during the offseason, replaced Johnson at left guard for the rest of the game.

Blanton injured his left leg during overtime tacking Jets wide receiver Eric Decker on a 26-yard gain. He missed the remaining four plays, marking the first time Blanton wasn't on the field this season.

Andrew Sendejo replaced Blanton for the final four defensive snaps.
