The Star Tribune's Michael Rand welcomes guest picker Mike Rylander -- former arena host for the Timberwolves, current Clippers host and future (he hopes) leading man in a Wally Szczerbiak biopic -- for this week's fantasy picks. Rylander, a big Vikings fan who roots for the purple from L.A. these days, was allowed to choose any quarterback, wide receiver and running back except for those taken by last week's guest. Rand was not allowed to pick anyone in the top 10 at his position in terms of NFL.com fantasy default scoring.

MIKE RYLANDER'S WEEK 10 FANTASY PICKS

QB: Tom Brady, Patriots

NFL.com QB scoring rank: No. 4. Matchup: Bills

Equation: One of the highest-ranked fantasy QBs in the NFL (+) 31st-ranked defense in the NFL (x) at home = NO BRAINER.

WR: A.J. Green, Bengals

NFL.com WR scoring rank: No. 1

Matchup: Giants

Life's guarantees: Death, taxes and A.J. Green scoring a touchdown in a 2012 NFL game. The streak continues against the Giants' 26th-ranked pass defense.

RB: Ray Rice, Ravens

NFL.com RB scoring rank: No. 4

Matchup: Raiders

At home against an Oakland Raiders team giving up 28.6 points and 124 rushing yards per game? Easy like Sunday morning.

MICHAEL RAND'S WEEK 10 FANTASY PICKS

QB: Andy Dalton, Bengals

NFL.com QB scoring rank: No. 14. Matchup: Giants

It could turn into a shootout against the Giants. If so, I'll be poised to reap the rewards of Dalton's arm -- particularly if he can somehow spread his throws to receivers other than Green. WR: Julio Jones, Falcons

NFL.com WR scoring rank: No. 11. Matchup: Saints

We know by now that the Saints pass defense is awful. We also know by now that Jones is really starting to emerge, with back-to-back 100-yard games coming into this one.

RB: Reggie Bush, Dolphins

NFL.com RB scoring rank: No. 16. Matchup: Titans

Those who have Bush on their fantasy roster know he has been a no-show in plenty of games lately. But he is poised to go off against a leaky Titans run defense.

SCOREBOARD Week 9 fantasy recap (using NFL.com default scoring method)

Winner: Derrick Williams -- Cam Newton (21.7), Calvin Johnson (12.9), Arian Foster (17.1). Total: 51.7

Loser: Michael Rand -- Joe Flacco (12.2), Eric Decker (21.9), LeSean McCoy (13.3). Total: 47.4

Overall standings: Guest pickers 5-4.
