Twins shortstop J.J. Hardy jammed his left wrist when he slid into third base on his ninth-inning triple Tuesday night and will miss a day or two, Manager Ron Gardenhire said this morning.

Alexi Casilla is starting at shortstop today, as the Twins try to finish off their first sweep of the season.

Joe Mauer played catch today and squatted into the catching position, testing his bruised left heel. Mauer said he feels better but isn't sure when he'll be ready to return to the lineup.

Update: LHP Jose Mijares (left elbow strain) will begin a rehabilitation assignment for Class AAA Rochester on Friday. He is scheduled to toss one inning Friday and again Sunday and then be re-evaluated.
