The Twins announced plans Tuesday to move TwinsFest to Target Field for the first time. The event will be held Jan. 24-26 and tickets, which will go on sale to the general public on Dec. 11, will cost $20 for adults and $10 for children 14 and under.

Ticket sales will be limited because the event has been moved from the Metrodome, where it has been held most years since its inception in 1989.

In 2012 and 2013, tickets were $9 in advance for adults and $15 at the door for adults.

Season-ticket holders will no longer automatically receive free tickets. According to an email from the team, they will have the chance to register for a drawing to receive two free tickets. For those who don't get them, there will be a pre-sale opportunity before tickets go on sale to others.

Those who attend  will have a chance to purchase a tour of the Twins Archive Room, as well as take batting practice in the cages near the Twins dugout and get autographs from current and former Twins players.

Proceeds from the event go to the Twins Community Fund.

More information about the changes planned for TwinsFest are available on the Twins web site.
