Chart: Twins prospects fanning out to the minors

A look at where the Twins' top minor league prospects figure to start this season (for players who have appeared in at least one professional game, La Velle E. Neal III ranks his top 10 prospects in the organization):

ROCHESTER RED WINGS (AAA)

OF Joe Benson (3): Tantalizing power/speed combo. Can he hone his strike zone judgment?

RHP Liam Hendriks (6): Not overpowering but competitive. Good sinking fastball.

SS Brian Dozier (9): Potential table-setter. At age 24, his time might be now.

1B Chris Parmelee (10): Good September run last season. Good strike zone judgment.

RHP Kyle Gibson: Out for season (elbow surgery).

NEW BRITAIN ROCK CATS (AA)

OF Aaron Hicks (4): Five-tool talent. Needs a big year to maintain status.

C Chris Herrmann: Encouraging fall league performance.

RHP Bruce Pugh: Bullpen candidate.

RHP Dakota Watt: Fastball touches 97 mph.

RHP Deinys Suarez: Cuban joined organization last year.

FORT MYERS MIRACLE (A)

OF Oswaldo Arcia (5): Power potential, needs to be more patient. Could be promoted early.

RHP Adrian Salcedo (7): Live fastball, good control. Good pitching acumen.

RHP Alex Wimmers: Has solved bouts of wildness.

SS Levi Michael: Making pro debut.

OF Angel Morales: Battled injuries last season.

BELOIT SNAPPERS (A)

3B Miguel Sano (1): Has to improve decision-making in the field. Massive power potential.

2B Eddie Rosario (2): Transition from OF to 2B is in full swing. Power last year was a surprise.

RHP Madison Boer (8): Relieved last season in debut year but will start. Good hard fastball.

RHP Matt Summers: Dominated in brief stint.

LHP Corey Williams: Fastball in the low 90s.
