WHAT: The Minnesota Department of Natural Resource's statewide "I Can" series – including I Can Fish, I Can Camp, I Can Paddle, I Can Climb and Archery in the Parks – is designed to help families and other beginners learn new skills and enjoy outdoor activities. Experts provide equipment and hands-on instruction.

WHAT'S NEW: The Minnesota DNR will host its first I Can Mountain Bike program at Cuyuna Country State Recreation Area in Ironton, Minn., on July 26.

WHERE: Through August, in state parks around Minnesota.

COST: I Can Climb, I Can Paddle, I Can Camp and I Can Mountain Bike require nominal fees ($5 to $60, depending on the activity). Other programs are free, though a vehicle permit ($5 per day or $25 per year) is required to enter Minnesota state parks.
