Lynx update: The Lynx ended a three-game losing streak with a 31-point victory over New York on Sunday at Target Center, one that appeared to get the team’s offense back on track. The victory kept Minnesota in first place in the Western Conference, a half-game ahead of Los Angeles. Lynx star Maya Moore, last week’s Western Conference Player of the Week, is coming off a season-high 28 points against New York, a game in which she hit six of 10 three-pointers. It was her 10th 20-plus point game of the season. Both C Janel McCarville (12 points) and rookie Rachel Jarry (11) had season highs in scoring. The Lynx also appear to have gotten their defense back in order, holding New York to 31.3 percent shooting, lowest by a Lynx opponent this season. Top Lynx reserve Monica Wright, who missed Sunday’s game because of a quadriceps contusion, is questionable for this game.

Dream update: It has been an up and down season for the Dream, one that appears back on track. The Dream had a league-best 12-1 record when it came to Minnesota and lost by 22 points July 9. That was the start of a streak in which the Dream lost eight of nine games. But Atlanta has bounced back, winning back-to-back home games — one by 31 points and the other by 18 — and remains solidly in second place in the Eastern Conference. The Dream’s 10-1 home record is the best in the WNBA. G/F Angel McCoughtry leads the WNBA in scoring (22.4) and averages 5.3 rebounds and 4.9 assists. F Sancho Lyttle, who last played July 9, has missed 10 games because of a foot injury.
