What prepvolleyball.com says about Gophers recruit Kellie McNeil, rated the No. 8 player in country and the top setter among high school seniors:

A superlative athlete playing setter, McNeil glides all around the court. There isn't a shanked pass that she can't get to and better. A fantastic leaper who jumps 10-1, McNeil plays the ball way above the net and is adept at holding would-be blockers.

She has the skill and the smarts to spread the ball around and keep opponents guessing. McNeil's long arms and leaping ability make her an absolute wall on the right side. She has gotten stronger in the past year and is now a serious threat on attack as well.

A leader, albeit a quiet one, on and off the court, McNeil will enroll early at Minnesota with designs on competing right away for a starting spot on a Golden Gopher roster that will return two blue-chip setters.

Comment: McNeil's sister, Taylr, also has committed to the Gophers. Taylr (that is no a typo) is a 6-0 outside hitter, but only a freshman at Lakeville North. Enrolling early seems to be becoming a bit of a trend at the U. Freshman Ashley Wittman, an outside hitter from Shakopee, enrolled last January, took part in spring practice games, and is starting for Gophers now. Wittman was named the co-Big Ten Player of the Week this week and Freshman of the Week.
