J.J. Strnad caught a 9-yard touchdown pass from Nate Penz with 1 minute, 8 seconds remaining, lifting St. Olaf to a 17-13 MIAC victory over rival Carleton in Northfield on Saturday.

Strnad's reception capped a 10-play, 75-yard drive for the Oles (1-6, 1-4 MIAC), who ended a 15-game losing streak dating to their 2013 season opener. It was St. Olaf's first victory in 14 conference games dating to Nov. 3, 2013.

After the Oles' go-ahead score, Carleton (1-6, 0-5) managed one first down before the Oles stopped the Knights on fourth down at midfield.

Carleton had taken a 13-10 lead with 5:28 remaining on a 40-yard field goal by Brandt Davis.

Penz passed for 256 yards and two touchdowns.

Concordia (Moorhead) 41, Augsburg 21: Zach Southwick scored three touchdowns to lead the Cobbers (6-1, 4-1), ranked No. 21 in the d3football.com poll, past the host Auggies.

Ayrton Scott passed for 337 yards and two touchdowns for the Auggies (2-4, 1-3).

St. Thomas 62, Hamline 24: Matt O'Connell passed for 305 yards and two touchedowns and rushed for a touchdown to lead the Tommies, ranked No. 23, past the host Pipers.

St. Thomas (5-1, 3-1) outscored Hamline 27-0 in the second quarter to open a 48-14 halftime lead.

Tim Bona passed for 345 yards and two touchdowns for the Pipers (2-4, 0-4).
