North Dakota forward Bryn Chyzyk was suspended from the team indefinitely after allegedly running out on a cab fare estimated at $4.
Coach Dave Hakstol announced the suspension after Chyzyk pleaded not guilty to a theft charge in Grand Forks Municipal Court. Hakstol said he won't consider reinstating Chyzyk until at least January.
Chyzyk, a sophomore forward from Virden, Manitoba, has two goals and two assists this season.
Chyzyk has been cited twice for alcohol violations while at UND.
