The sophomore quarterback dinged his right shoulder midway through the third quarter but stayed in the game, finishing with 15 carries for a career-high 122 rushing yards. He also completed eight of 15 passes for 127 yards.

defensive mvp

Aaron Hill, Gophers

The senior linebacker led the team with 10 tackles and returned a fumble 50 yards for a touchdown. The defense held New Mexico State to one first down on its first five possessions and came up with two fourth-down stops when the game was still within reach in the second half.
