2A championship game: Edina up 1-0 over Minnetonka after one

Well that didn't take long. Ryan Cutshall took advantage of a Minnetonka turnover just 26 seconds into the game and gave Edina a 1-0 lead over top-seeded and top-ranked Skippers in the Class 2A championship game.

Things settled down after that. Shots wound up even at 6-6.

Got the chance to talk with the head coaches before tonight's final, and both seemed rather loose. Brian Urick, whom I saw walk out of the arena around 1:30 last night this morning, was chipper. He said his kids were able to get some pizza in them to refuel before getting to bed. He let them sleep until 10 a.m. today

Curt Giles, on the other hand, was happy his players all were off their feet for the marathon game, watching it all on TV.
