CHICAGO -- The Amway Coaches Poll was released Thursday, with Ohio State at No. 1, TCU at No. 2, and the Gophers outside the Top 25, receiving votes, at No. 34.
The Gophers will open the season at home against TCU on Sept. 3 and then travel to Ohio State on Nov. 7.
This year's coaches poll also had Michigan State at No. 6 and Wisconsin at No. 18. The rest of the Big Ten was outside the Top 25, with Nebraska receiving votes at No. 33, followed by Minnesota, and then Penn State at No. 35, Illinois at No. 39, and Michigan and Maryland tied at No. 51 with one vote apiece.
