CLEARWATER, Fla. — The Twins' 10-day stretch of long bus rides comes to an end here today against the Phillies, so the visiting team brought a skeleton crew. The Twins are even using a minor-league fill-in — Reynaldo Rodriguez, a 28-year-old first baseman — as a starter, which is unusual for this point in camp.

The starting lineup includes only one certain regular-season starter, in left fielder Oswaldo Arcia; of the 11 players on the bench and bullpen, only Blaine Boyer and perhaps Eric Fryer figure to come north with the Twins. The rest of Minnesota's regulars remained back in Fort Myers for workouts.

The Twins' travel all but ends now — of the Twins' 12 remaining games, 11 of them are in Fort Myers, either at Hammond Stadium or at the Red Sox' jetBlue Stadium — so the regulars will probably start virtually every day until camp breaks on April 4. But for today, it's one more chance for Aaron Hicks, Eduardo Escobar, Shane Robinson and Chris Herrmann to shore up their cases for a roster spot.

The game is far more important to Mike Pelfrey, however. The righthander is still in a tight race for a spot in the Twins' rotation, and Trevor May pitched four hitless innings on Saturday, while Tommy Milone, though he gave up four runs, had only one bad inning.

Here are the starting lineups for today's noon CDT game:
