EAGAN 30, LAKEVILLE SOUTH 29

As Eagan coach Rick Sutton put it, as long as the ball is in the hands of his quarterback, Sam Zenner, he likes his team's chances. So with 33.8 seconds left in the fourth quarter and the Wildcats trailing by one point after scoring a touchdown, Sutton called Zenner's number on a two-point conversion try.

The speedy senior took a shotgun snap and plowed his way into the end zone, capping a dramatic second-half rally.

Key of the game: Zenner ran in three touchdowns on the night, but it was his backup, Sam Schuberg, who scored the final one — a 1-yard quarterback sneak with Zenner lined up at tailback. The score capped a 2-minute, 48-second drive that started at the Eagan 37.

Quote: "The play gave the option to audible and sneak it. We looked around and made the call, and it worked out." — Schuberg on the winning score

One thing to know: Lakeville South ran all over Eagan in the first half (21 points on three Josh Corcoran touchdowns), but Eagan made three straight stops to start the third quarter, allowing the Wildcats to get back into the game.
