Preview: Minnesota and New York are tied atop the North American Soccer League spring season standings. After taking care of business in two consecutive road matches to start the season, Minnesota plays its next two games at home before heading to New York.

United FC at a glance: Minnesota (2-0) played “outstanding defensively” at Ottawa last week, coach Manny Lagos said. But Edmonton “will put more stress on our back four by pressing whereas Ottawa sat back,” Lagos said. Offensively, United FC must look for opportunities to be creative and attack. After struggling at home throughout 2013, Minnesota wants to make Saturday the start of something special.

Edmonton at a glance: Tired legs could be an issue for Edmonton (0-1-1), which is coming off its third game in seven days. A mid-week scoreless draw with Ottawa left Edmonton with only one goal scored thus far. “We’ve had some really good games against Minnesota, particularly away from home,” FC Edmonton coach Colin Miller said. “I’m well aware it will be a difficult task for us but I know we’re up for it.”
