The Vikings drafted eight players in April and they have started the process of signing their draft picks.
The team signed seventh-round draft pick Ryan D'Imperio, according to the team's website. Here is a link to the blog item.
D'Imperio is a converted fullback from Rutgers. He played linebacker in college, but Rick Spielman, vice president of player personnel, had his scouts ask D'Imperio to workout as a fullback. The Vikings liked what they saw and D'Imperio was open to the position change.
The rookie class will take part in the OTAs starting tomorrow. Second-round pick Toby Gerhart cannot participate because he is still taking classes at Stanford in preparation for his graduation in June.
