Tight end Visanthe Shiancoe (thigh) and nose tackle Pat Williams (elbow) both will be active for the Vikings today and cornerback Antoine Winfield will start against the New York Giants at the Metrodome.

Defensive tackle Jimmy Kennedy (thumb) is among the Vikings' inactives. Wide receiver Jaymar Johnson, cornerback Karl Paymah, tight end Garrett Mills, linebacker J Leman, center Jon Cooper and defensive end Jayme Mitchell also will be inactive. Sage Rosenfels is the third quarterback.

Paymah has been inactive for the past four games. The first two he was on the injury report but the past two weeks he has been healthy. He declined to comment last week when asked about not being up. It's a bit surprising he's inactive because of the role he played on special teams earlier this season.

Inactive for the Giants include defensive lineman Chris Canty (knee); wide receiver Mario Manningham (shoulder); tackle Kareem McKenzie (knee); guard Rich Seubert (knee); cornerback Corey Webster (knee); safety Sha'reff Rashad; and tight end Scott Chandler. The Giants third quarterback is Rhett Bomar.

New York's starter changes include Fred Robbins for Canty at defensive tackle; Kevin Dockery for Webster at left corner; and Michael Johnson for Aaron Ross at strong safety. Will Beatty will start for McKenzie at right tackle; Kevin Boothe will start for Seubert; and Ahmad Bradshaw will start for Brandon Jacobs at running back.

Ross and Jacobs were placed on injured reserve by the Giants last week.
