Let's hope former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin brought an extra copy of her new book to Minnesota.
U.S. Rep. Michele Bachmann, R-Minn., said after a Minnesota Capitol rally Monday that she did not have a copy of the former vice-presidential candidate's new memoir, "Going Rogue: An American Life."
Palin will be at the Mall of America signing copies of her best-selling new book and will join Bachmann at a fundraiser in the evening.
"I hope to get a book and get it signed," Bachmann said.
Palin and Bachmann have been credited with infusing new energy into the Republican Party after losing the White House and seats in Congress.
Many party activists want Palin to run for president in 2012 and some envision a Palin-Bachmann ticket.
Bachmann declined to pick a favorite as Gov. Tim Pawlenty tests a possible bid for the White House.
"I like both of them; they are great," Bachmann said. "I am very partial toward our own governor. I think he's marvelous. I love governor Pawlenty and governor Palin and I think there will be a lot more choices out there."
An area where Bachmann didn't hedge: her reelection plans.
"Oh, I am running. Without a doubt," she said. "I want to go back and serve the people. It's been such a privilege and an honor and I think I have a lot to offer."
