CIVIL WAR FAMILY DAY

Did you know that Minnesota was the first state to volunteer men to fight for the Union Army in the Civil War? Learn this and other facts in a visit to the Governor's Reception Room and other parts of the Capitol. Try on a uniform sack coat and military equipment worn by soldiers. See Civil War flags and take a scavenger hunt. While you're there, catch a glimpse of a model of the State Capitol made entirely of Legos. KWANZAA FAMILY DAY

A celebration to honor the holiday that follows seven core principles. The daytime program includes storytelling, music, dance and crafts.
