Kobe Bryant jokes about Lakers players being surprised at 'Lincoln' when he got shot

This tweet from Dave McMenamin of ESPNLA.com seemed too good to be true:
Kobe on the team's viewing of "Lincoln": "I don't know if the guys knew who he was ... It came as a big shock to them when he was killed"

The big problem? About 15 minutes passed between the first tweet about Kobe and the tweet that he was joking. More than 1,700 people have retweeted the first one so far. About 50 have retweeted the second one. Ah, the best and worst of Twitter.
