Frozen Four: Two Minnesotans play on Notre Dame's top line

Nltre Dame has four players from Minnesota, three who play regularly. Here's a look at them:
LW Anders Lee, 6-3, 218, fr. Edina: Lee is the second leading scorer on Irish with 24 goals and 20 assists for 20 points. His overtime goal gave Notre Dame a 4-3 victory over Merrimack in the Northeast Regional semifinals.
He played for Green Bay of USHL last season and was named the Rookie of the Year and was the MVP of the Clark Cup playoffs, which the Gamblers won, with 10 goals and 12 assists for 22 points.
Played in five hockey state tournaments, three with St. Thomas Academy in Class 1A, two with Edina in 2A. ... In football was metro player of year and Gatorade state player of year as Hornets' quarterback. Also baseball player in high school.
Taken in sixth round of 2009 NHL draft by New York Islanders (152nd overall). Signed with Irish in November of 2009. He is 20 years old.
RW Ryan Guentzel, 6-0, 184, sr., Woodbury: Played hockey for three years at Hill Murray, then was with Southern Minnesota Express of NAHL for one season and Sioux Falls of USHL for one season. ... Signed in spring of 2007, joined Irish next fall. Had only four goals and 15 assists for 15 points in 100 games his first three seasons at Notre Dame.
Was fourth-line player most of junior season. Playing on top line now with Anders Lee and Ben Ryan and has six goals and 31 assists for 37 points, third on team. He is an assistant captain and is 24 years old.
His father Mike is an assistant hockey coach for Nebraska Omaha. He is also a former longtime Gophers assistant coach, too.
LW Nick Larson, 6-2, 197, so. Apple Valley: Plays on second line. Has 10 goals -- tied for ffith -- eight assists for 18 points. Played for St. Thomas Acacemy for two seasons, winning Class 1A state title in 2006, then for Eastview as senior.
Played for Waterloo of USHL for two seasons. ... Taken by Calgary in fourth round (108th overall) of 2008 NHL draft. ... He is 21.
G Brian Brooke, 60, 188, sr. Eden Prairie: Not listed among top three goalies on depth chart for regionals. Joined team full-time as sophomore. Has never played a game; practice goalie for Irish.
Father Bob was an all-american at Yale who played in NHL for seven seasons with NY Rangers, Minnesota and New Jersey. ... As high school senior was captain for Eden Prairie and led team to Lake Conference title.
