Jungbauer, a Republican from East Bethel who is running for governor, is undergoing a series of rabies shots as a preventive measure after he, as he said on his Twitter feed, "Got bit in the face by a bat!"
"Eight injections around the bite area and five more spots to finish for today. Four more days of injections later," he wrote on his Facebook page.
Jungbauer's campaign manager told Kare11 that the senator was putting a car in his shed Sunday night when the bat attacked..
